State Street Academy is a Michigan public school academy chartered through Bay Mills Community College and our ESP is Access Point. State Street Academy’s educational goal is to prepare students to be creative, intuitive, and analytical thinkers with a solid understanding of the history of ideas.
The Academy began operations in 2001-2002 and currently offers Preschool through fifth grade programs. We also have a special education program to serve the needs of students with special needs. Our staff also includes two full time intervention teachers, who provide additional instruction to students who may need extra help in all core academic areas. State Street Academy offers physical education to all K-5 students. We have recently teamed up with Studio 23 to provide art instruction to all of our students.

State Street Academy offers Federal Title I services, which are designed to assist students who are struggling in all core academic areas. The Academy has a Title I parent committee which allows parents to have input into how the Title I program is implemented and designed.
State Street Academy implements the use of technology to enhance the teaching and learning process in the classroom. Two brand new Chromebook carts are used to provide modern technology for instructional use to support student achievement.
Breakfast and lunch are served FREE to all students. Extra or cold lunch milk is $0.35. Sandwiches are available in place of the main menu item daily.
