Hello State Street Academy Parents,

I am Kathy Langley and I’m pleased to be back for a fourth year at State Street! I have experience working in general and special education. I also spent three years homeschooling my son who is now 25 years old! I grew up in the suburbs of Detroit and graduated from Northville High School. We moved up to the Flint/Saginaw area in 2004 and absolutely love it there! I’ve also taught in Plymouth and Flint. My family enjoys cooking (I clean!), walking and visiting with friends. I enjoy teaching all subjects but most enjoy teaching reading.

I look forward to teaching special education again this year. This year we continue to have two special education teachers, myself full time and Jeannette Bowers who will continue to do half time intervention and half time special education. I’m hopeful we can make learning fun and enjoyable.
